Dear colleagues
This is a formative forum just to read from you what this experience has meant for all of you. I'm totally sure about the kind of people you are, and that made me feel really comfortable with this process. Now, I want to see your point of view, which is really useful for me because I want to be better every day.
I must say I really enjoyed the experience. I believe this course allowed us to practice and engage our speaking skills. Often times we tell our students to practice or do this or do that. However this course allowed us to practice using a variety of evaluations such as debates, presentations, story telling, etc. This was beneficial because it allowed people with different strengths to shine in different types of evaluations. Something else that I particularly enjoyed was the layout of the course outline. I enjoyed that it was detailed and stated what we should expect for each week. This allowed me to organize myself and know what to look forward too. The emails that you provided us were also informative and detailed which allowed me to read it as needed in order for me to understand the instructions. That detail helps especially since we do not see each other classmates or professor between a period of eight days. Thank you professor!
ResponderEliminarSomething I forgot to mention that was also a plus was the use of technology. Even though technology is not my strength it made me exit my comfort zone and learn to use websites that I had never used before. It is great to become more familiarized with technology because it's the wave of the future and technology can be seen in almost every aspect of our lives.
ResponderEliminarIt was good!! I learned a lot of things in your class.
ResponderEliminarSo i want to say to thank you Professor.
I can't believe it that this week is our final class.
And when i'm be a teacher, your class will be very helpful.
Thank you for teaching me professor.
Thank you so much.
What I enjoyed the most was learning about new ways technology could be used for our classes. Learning how to use the wiki and voicethread gave me many different ideas about how I can implement them into my classes. Also the idea of writing our comments on this blog was very useful because it gave us extra time to engage in group discussions.
EliminarThe classes were also fun; for example, when we presented our first project on different types of group activities, it was really entertaining and everybody had great but different ideas.
First of all, I would like to thank you for your time and dedication to the course and for us. Regarding to the course, I found very interesting the practical perspective about how the course was developed. I do believe there are still many ideas of how can we innovate our classes, without forgetting our main objective. I liked the readings, participation in the different subjects in the blog. I think that the course covers some contents in a very general way, if we had more time, we could develop them deeply, in order to acquire more ideas to put into practice.
ResponderEliminarDear professor. I have to say that although I teach the course of Teaching Innovations, taking this course updated me in many fields. There were many new techniques that I did not know for example the wiki, the voicethread and the blog itself. I think that even when I thought that I was stuck because I did not found new teaching strategies, I can say that I feel really satisfied about what I learnt during the course. As a recommendation, I would look for more up to date readings for the course because the ones provided were from very old theorists and approaches. Finally, I have to say that I am sure that if this course would have taken longer we would have continued learning a lot more. Thanks a lot.
ResponderEliminarHello professor i really thank you for all your work. For giving us your dedication and all the knowledge provided during this 4..5 weeks. I have to say that i really enjoy all the different activities that allow us to practive and improve these skills that we usually dont develop completely. I really enjoy all the tools that you make us use during this process so we can incorportae them in our future class, the readings and the blogs and my classmates comments and expieriences, really learned a lot and thank you very much to all and hopefully i can apply all your ideas and nice comments when i get to be in the same position.
ResponderEliminarThank you!

Hello!
ResponderEliminarI truly enjoyed and applied the technology tools the course presented to us. Our students are way beyond us on tech uses, sites, and all the sort; however, using these new tools can give an edge and we help our students to develop their skills through the use of them as well.
I enjoyed the experience of learning about different types of oral presentations. I had given a course on public speaking, but hadnt really focused on debates, symposiums...and so on. Now, I am even asking my Ss to participate in debates.
I believe the teacher is really well organized. And it helps from the start to have the general outline and then step by step instructions on what to do during the week.
THe variety of cultures helped me see that teaching (and learning) of English around the world, as one that although it faces its own characteristics according to the local , faces many of the same problems around the world. It is interesting and rewarding to read about teachers' opinion from another part of the world.
Finally, I have to say that I feel comfortable with the group. We are a small group but that is an advantage because we can get to know each other better and feel at ease to share our knowledge and enrich from each other's experiences.
